Lil' Toot is available for Charter on Mondays though Thursdays. By special arrangement, the vessel may also be available in the mornings on days of regularly scheduled service.
Passengers
Lil' Toot is Coast Guard certified to carry 24 passengers. However, for the comfort and enjoyment of your guests, we suggest limiting your passengers to around 14 adults. The vessel can comfortably accommodate 24 children, so any combination in between these quantities would be appropriate for a mixed group. Please call us with your requirements in order that we may assist in your voyage planning.
Fees
The minimum charter fee is $250, for a one and one-half hour voyage. Additional time is booked at $150 per hour, to be booked and billed in half-hour increments. The charter starts at the scheduled time reserved for the trip. If your guests are late or other circumstances prevent departure at the scheduled time, you may incur a charter fee higher than anticipated, or the voyage duration may be shortened accordingly. For this reason, please have your guests arrive well before the scheduled charter departure time.
Deposit
A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation. If Bucksport Harbor Tours employees deem the weather unsafe or unfit for conducting the charter, every effort will be made to reschedule the trip. However, due to the need to schedule crew and ensure the vessel’s availability, this deposit is non-refundable.
What you may bring
You may bring food, coolers, and beverages of your choosing aboard the vessel. However, please be advised that anyone wishing to consume alcoholic beverages will be required to show a photo ID documenting proof of legal drinking age. If the Captain or Crew feels that alcohol is being abused by any passenger, or if any passenger displays inebriated behavior or disorderly conduct, the vessel will proceed immediately back to the Bucksport Town Dock and the charter will be cancelled with no refund for time remaining.
No pets, please!
Restrooms
Please ensure that your party uses the facilities at the Bucksport Town Dock prior to departure. There are no facilities available for passengers aboard Lil' Toot.
What to wear
The vessel has marginal protection from the weather from her awning; therefore passengers are encouraged to bring extra clothing. An extra layer of insulation, topped by a windbreaker, is strongly recommended. It can easily feel 10-20 colder on the water than it does on shore. Come prepared; it will enhance your enjoyment of this unique adventure!
